Looking to try jigging. Any Input?

Anyone on here has experience on jigging in HI waters.Totally newbie, i see charters boat/locals jigging in shallow/fad.I wanna give it a try. LOWER BF ACL?

Fellow Fishermen, especially those who BF,Are you aware that the National Marine Fishery Service is proposing to ignore the recommendation of the Western Pacific Fishery Management Council to keep the 2014-2015 Deep 7 ACL at 346,000 lbs and might instead LOWER the ACL? It's a big reduction too, by 25% or like 80,000 lb less. Man I hope everyone has been getting out. So much flat water everywhere! Went north last week and got a nice bill and some shibis. Went this week bottom and the little 3-5lb paka must have gotten off a diet because they sure were hungry. I think we got around 80-100 pieces of mostly paka.My switch broke and box full enough we gave up early and got some good sleep.
